This year the CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES (K-6) will be using a new curriculum: "Kid Connection". This curriculum has been specially designed for smaller churches that have multi-age classes. We hope this will help the children connect with the Bible stories in a way that is appropriate and meaningful for their age.
The YOUTH will be learning about the "Haves and the Have Nots". They will examine the gap between those who have resources, power and privilege and those who do not. Using scripture, experience and tradition, they will be encouraged to seek ways to be part of a Christian solution.
Both of these classes will meet on the second floor on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM.
A DISCUSSION GROUP that focuses on the scripture readings that will be used in morning worship meets at 9 a.m. in the parlor. If you're seeking to grow in your faith or if you have questions about the Bible and your faith check out this group.
After Children's Time in our morning worship, three - five year olds will go to the library for a class geared for their age group.
CHILD CARE for infants - age 5 will be available during the worship hour in the nursery.
The CHOIR plays a very important role in our worship service and we are always looking for new members. Rehearsal is from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Connect your voice with others and you will help create beautiful harmony.
The PRAISE TEAM could also use some more voices and some more musical instruments. If you enjoy singing or playing an instrument, please see Janet Hurn. The more people we have the better we sound!
The NOON BOOK GROUP and the EVENING BOOK GROUP will also begin meeting in October. The NOON BOOK GROUP meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month in the church library. THE EVENING BOOK GROUP will meet on the second Tuesday of every month at Java Johnny's at 6:30.
The WOMEN'S GUILD meets at Noon the first Thursdays of Sept, Oct, Nov. Dec, March, April, May and June. Bring your lunch, share fellowship and listen to informative programs.
LOAVES AND FISHES is a group of 17 people who gather once a month in each others homes for fellowship and a meal. Don't worry if you don't have a large house; not all of us can make it every month. I hope we grow enough to start another group.
What holds all of us together is our SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP at 10:15 AM. Bring your joys, your cares and concerns, listen to God's word and be renewed for another week!!
The church is an amazing place where we gather to connect with others and with God so that God can work through us to do some amazing things.
